DON’T GO ANOTHER DAY WITH THIN, TIRED LOOKING EYEBROWS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Microblading?
Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery) is a relatively new, manual method which does not use a normal permanent makeup machine. Manual Microstroking, sometimes referred to as Brow Micropigmentation, Manual Technique, Hand Method Eyebrow Permanent Makeup, Feather Brows, 3D-6D Brows, Cosmetic Tattooing, Micro shading, originated in Asia and has become very popular in the last few years all across the world!

Microblading is done by using a unique hand instrument with a small row of very fine micro needles that deposit pigment into the surface of the dermis (skin) creating feathering strokes. The pigment is implanted in the basal membrane, which divides the epidermis from the Dermis layer of the skin. This creates very crisp, fine hair strokes intended to provide a more defined beautiful look to your brows.

What is MicroShading?
MicroShading is a relatively new technique that has become extremely popular in the Permanent Makeup Industry. This advanced technique is created using a manual hand tool or a PMU machine which gently inserts the pigment underneath the Dermis layer of the skin creating a beautiful, more defined powder effect to the brows compared to old fashion tattoos. MicroShading is commonly referred to as Powdered Brows, Shaded Brows, and Ombre Brows and is recommended for individuals who desire a more pronounced make-up look.

How long does it last?
Everyone is different; it can last 1-3 years.  Certain factors such as density of pigment, environment (UV light, tanning) and overall health, physiology of the skin, impact how long microblading results last. Retention of pigment varies with each person, a color boost touch-up is usually recommended yearly, some clients require a touch up every 6 months depending on their skin.

If you have oily skin, the pigment tends to fade faster. It is very important to follow aftercare instructions carefully for best results.

Does it hurt?
This is designed to be a gentle procedure with minimal discomfort. The degree of discomfort will depend on several factors, such as if you opt for anesthetics, the location of the treatment, and your pain threshold. In the beginning, you will feel a scratching feeling while we are marking the shape and design of the brow. A numbing cream is then applied which is absorbed into the skin within a few seconds. Once the cream has absorbed, you will have very little or no feeling.

The brow design is drawn in pencil so you get an idea of shape and form.

Our goal is to obtain symmetry and communicate realistic expectations.
